After the success of a Thai TV Drama "Love Destiny: บุพเพสันนิวาส" (2018), Khmer changed its national dress to claim the origins of the Thai dress, as well as accusations that Thailand stole culture from Cambodia on social media, causing quarrels between the two countries, and spread to international political problems.
