Thai Costume of King Rama VI Period 🇹🇭

Contestant of Miss Thailand 2023 from Sukhothai Province in the Thai Traditional Costume of King Vajiravudh (Rama VI) Period

 

Thai costume for women in the late reign of king Rama VI (around 1915-1925) was influenced by European fashion. Blouses were loose and hip-length or knee-length decorated with ribbons, beads or pearls. Headdresses were made of plain fabrics or diamond-studded fabrics or pearls. Skirts became shorter and were above ankles.
