Nang Kwak Thai Beckoning Lady 🇹🇭

Tabletop Sculpture of NANG KWAK: the Thai Beckoning Lady

Thai people believe that Nang Kwak (นางกวัก) is a spirit who brings money, good fortune, prosperity, and attract customers to a business. Therefore, figures of Nang Kwak can be easily seen in almost every business establishment in Thailand!

Nang Kwak is represented as a beautiful woman in the Thai traditional costume with golden crown on the head and is in the sitting or kneeling position. Her right hand is raised in the Thai way of beckoning a customer, with the palm of the hand curved and pointing downwards. Her left hand is resting on her side or holds a bag full of gold near her lap.
