✦ Nang Hai: This evolved from the practice of plucking rubber bands stretched across the mouth of a liquor jar—serving as a bass instrument—into a dance performance within the Pong Lang ensembles of the Northeastern region.

✦ Mak Kap Kaep is a percussion instrument similar to the krap (clappers); in Ponglang ensembles, it is commonly played while performing accompanying dance movements.
